One Year Mark

Yesterday was the one year mark of Dad's passing.

Angela and her family, along with me (Amy) and my kids were able to be in Denver with her.

We spent Saturday buying food at a Korean Market (NOT a good time for my mom), and then hanging out at a great park. That night we just hang out at home.

Sunday mom had to teach the RS lesson and did an excellent job. Angie and I sang the closing song---come thou fount---. James Thorpe played the guitar for us. I think it went well.

Then after that we all wrote messages to dad on little pieces of paper. We went to the park and tied them to balloons and let them go. We watched them till they floated off and couldn't see them anymore.

I had to go back home after that, but the rest of the family had a conference call. Jon and Tandy were at Tandy's house in Utah, and Angie and her family were still with mom.

Overall I think it was a great day to reflex and see how much strength we have and while the past year as been difficult at times we know that Dad is so happy and that we can be together again one day.
