Today was a pretty good day---
finished planting the garden, got 4 loads of laundry done (not folded), mowed the lawn, trimmed the lilac bushes, and did a load of dishes, went to La Jara and waited for 1/2 hour for a check from someone for lucas, and the house doesn't look anyworse today then yesterday. Now image how nice it will look with no crappy cars and farm equipment behind it!! A row has two sides to it--the middle of the row is a drip watering hose.
From left to right
Row 1: Zuchinni, Squash, Pumpkins
Row 2: Carrotts, Bell Peppers, Tomatoes
Row 3: 1st half--Pole beans and bush beans--nothing on second half--extra space for tomatoes to grow
Row 4:Nothing yet--Potatoes in the future, waiting for Seed potatoes? Annie is getting them to me.
Row 5: Green Chili's and Anihiem Peppers
Row 6: Lettuce, Spinach, Snow peas
Row 7:nothing yet--not sure I will plant anything here
Row 8 Nothing in front half yet--maybe beets--extra space for Tomatoes on back half
Row 9: Carrotts again, raddish, and three tomato plants
Rows 10-11-12: Corn
Row 13 (along the fence): Peas

Sorry so small! I tried to make it bigger and it distorted it.

This was the garden after Micah rototilled it--thanks so much Micah!
Tomorrow--9:30-gymnastics, or Library story time, (can't remember which one) 10:30 concert at the park (local band), bank, home to scrape paint from trim of house-not all-just some, pull out rose bush, primary meeting at 7:30--can I do it!? YES I CAN!!
Strange--I am reading "How to organize using the right side of your brain" Or something like that and the funny thing is...here are no pictures or anything creative in it. It is ALL writing, you would think someone writing to right brained people would cater more to them! Oh well, still haven't learned anything I didn't know before.
Ah-ha Moment: Upon reading another cleaning and clutter cutting book (Not the one above) I finally thought--I know all of this, yes there might be a hint or two that are new concepts, but really, I know how to organize, I know how to clean, my problem is MOTIVATION. So....motivation books here I come.
I go to both the Alamosa libary and the Conejos (La Jara) library ALOT. But I think I finally messed up big time. I think I returned my Conejos books to the Alamosa library. They caught three of them and set them aside for me to get tomorrow, but the rest must already be on the shelves. I have some searching to do tomorrow! If I can't find them the Conejos library will be getting some Swapabook books from me.
The differences in Librarys---At Conejos you can only check out 4 books on CD, and a total of 10 items (so 4 books on cd, and 6 books)...at Alamosa you can check out 10 books on CD, 10 Movies (which Conejos only has educational (and not even good ones) movies-those count as books on CD's), but endless books--I have about 40 books between our two cards right now (not inlcuding books on CD, which I have about 19. I love Conejos, but Alamosa is much more user friendly, except that many times I am the ONLY one in Conejos so the girls don't have to be AS quiet, but then again the books are dated--they don't even have all the Twilight series in and the most modern home improvement book is from early 90's...
Antonito library is now open. I am so excited. They are only open Thursday's and Fridays, but I will be going next week to get some Books on Tape they don't have at Conejos--you would think it is the same district you could check them out at either library--nope--all Antonito books must remain in Antonito and same with the La Jara books---
So because of the above reason, of returning the wrong books, I bought some fabric at Wal-mart, we have two choices for fabric, Wal-mart and The Grey Goose. Grey Goose is about average 12.00 a yard, and wal-mart 5.00 a yard, so Wal-mart wins. Anyway--I bought two different fabrics and have started to make library bags so hopefully this won't happen again. I will post pictures as soon as I am done.
I haven't put the handles on -- I want to find some heavy duty ribbon stuff--maybe in Denver? The bottom is dark denium. I think it matches better than the picture shows

This is the fabric for the second bag--I haven't sewed it yet--obviously! It is way cuter than the picture shows!

Another sewing adventure--since Lucas never reads this I will post it--no one tell him! I am making a jean quilt for his Truck so he doesn't have to be so cold in the Winter, I want to finish it for his birthday--I am done sewing the jean squares all together and I have the fabric for the other side (thanks Zola--it is some you left)--it will be great, but the cool part is--I added white jean squares to put iron on pictures of our family on them. I really hope it turns out as well as I image it in my mind. I am to tired to take pictures right now so maybe when I finish it.
I have had a posterboard and flannel for along time to make a flannel board, so I finally did it. I am pretty impressed, I sewed all the edges so they look good and sewed the bottom corners to make little pocket so the posterboard can be slipped into the pockets and have a smoother apperance, while still being able to flip the whole flannel sheet over when Iwant to use just the posterboard---If I was reading this I would not understand, so look for pictures soon.
I did it in Blue and green for sky and ground, but if I turn it upside down, it can be water and land too--
