Dad as a little boy with his dad, Tom and mom, Marjorie. and Sister Annette--I think, Such a cute kid!
With Jon before going into the MTC--his Family is his greatest joy in life. Not the most recent Family picture, but a good memory!
A bike ride--I wish I could remember where! Dad is a powerhouse on hills--ask anyone who ever rode with him. Even the doctors and nurses were impressed with the shape his heart was in! as Rhonda keeps saying "A True Athlete!"------------------------------------------------------------------------
We had a set back tonight. The surgery scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until a blood clot in his left arm (the arm not broken) goes away. They put him on blood thinner to have the clot disperse, so it is another waiting game.
Dr. Link, the blood doctor, actually is the father of one of Jon's childhood friends. So it was good to know that someone who knows us personally is watching over dad. Not sure if this is the same blood Dr. that looked at his blood clot today, but we know he has seen dad.
I didn't get to go back to the hospital with Jon and mom so I don't know all the details. Jon is updating Carepages tonight since Rhonda and Mark went to see Mormon Tab. Choir at Red Rocks--I guess President Monson is there--Rhonda said if she gets close enough she will ask him to give dad a blessing--Wouldn't that be cool, I could just see Pres. Monson talking about it at the next General Conference. Ah wishful thinking....
We had Family Home Evening tonight, that is a time when families in our religion spend time together specifically to build better relatioships with in the family. We read a great article Angie suggested called "Hope; the misunderstood sister." It has been a great blessing in moms life to read it. below is a link for anyone who would like to read it.
