Today's Update

I wonder who is teaching whom in this picture--Dad is pretty up-to date with all the gadgets-
Devin and Dad at the Utah Library --last year?

Dad at one of his "Campsites" during a bike tour. He is such a backpacker that he even made a tent once (not the one in the picture). He researched fabric, different types of stiching, and everything to make a quality-lightweight tent. Then for a while he experimented with different fabrics, different threads, until one day-he made a tent. Pretty impressive! Such a man of many talents!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This morning mom was able to go and spend some good hours with dad. Each day

he seems to respond more and more--Eyes openning, yawning big yawns today, and lots of mouth moving. He is getting some great care from the nurse he has had the last few days--Barb. Mom really likes her. She talks to dad the whole time she is taken care of him. Things like "oh honey, I know that hurts, I will done in just a minute." Things like that. We have had her for quite a few days--maybe the other nurses don't like us.

For those of you who know Mary Schumauker-she was two doors down from Dad today, she is fine and has been moved to a different floor already, image my mom's suprise to walk in and hear Mary talking--

I was able to this afternoon for a while and see dad for a while. It is good to talk to him, but it is difficult to have a long converstaion with someone who doesn't respond at all. We keep things light and upbeat, cracking jokes, and telling him all the good things and miracles that have happened.

Lots of phone calls to mom today--and that is good. She is doing good, and she is learning such amazing things!

Thank you again for all your many blessings and prayers and faith!

Love

Amy
